Riesling from Chris’ incredible Pendee Farm vineyard in Springton, Southern Eden Valley, vines planted 1969. Fermented in neutral french barriques, pressings kept separate. Ferment halted when the RS was in balance with the very high natural acidity, once again being gifted a cool, long ripening season. While it’s delicious now, I have full confidence that this wine will age gracefully in the cellar for 20 years. Shows vibrant floral character on the nose, with some dried herbs and an intense palate of grapefruit and wisps of lemon, lime and white pepper.
