"Very good Chardonnay from Tyrrell’s in 2024. About 15% new oak, 40% second use, the rest old. Lime and white peach, light creamy vanilla and cinnamon oak gives it some extra perfume. Medium-bodied, a roundness and generosity to flavour, though it’s still quite discreet in context, some hazelnut, balanced acidity, flinty, with a gently spicy finish of excellent length. It’s still a baby now, and needs a couple of years to resolve. It’s a smooth, suave, and a really good Vat 47."
