Region: Yarra Valley
Grapes: Shiraz
First Glance: Energetic, Textural, Zingy, Savoury
Acclaim: 93pts
The Wine:
Made from 100% Shiraz grapes, whole bunch pressed after one night on the skins, and barrel fermented with no malolactic fermentation. Aromas of orange rind and soft pressed red berries emerge on the nose. The palate is fresh, bright with acidity, and marked by fine rocky mineral notes.
The Review:
Mike Bennie, The Wine Front - 93pts
"Nice garnet/salmon hue in a lighter shade. Snappy number here. Big energy. Grippy texture, a zing of blood orange acidity, white raspberry and peachy notes, a light dusting of sweet spice and some minty lift. Pleasing, grippy, savoury leaning pink wine of good mettle."
