The Wine:
Fifteen-year-old vines from Healesville, Yarra Valley, managed by the winery's neighbor. This Pinot Gris is whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented. The nose offers excellent fruit purity, with yellow apple and Bosc pear. It’s quiet racy and fresh at the moment but finishes with a lovely texture.
The Review:
Mike Bennie, The Wine Front - 93pts
"Faint golden hue in the glass. Pitch perfect glide and slide to texture, a concentration but lift of saline minerality, has the requisite pear, preserved lemon, touches of ginger, some lemongrass and bay leaf too. Fills out nicely in the palate and finishes frisky. Neat and tidy, spot on gear."
