Eva Fricke Rheingau Riesling Trocken 2022

| /

Region: Rheingau
Grapes: Riesling
First Glance: Fresh, Citrus, Lime, Blossom, Lees

The Wine:
This is a blend of fruit from several sites in the upper and lower Rheingau, including Lorch, Eltville, Hattenheim and Kiedrich. The Eltville, Kiedrich and Hattenheim sites lie on sandy loess and loam, clay riverbed sediments, whereas the Lorch soils are slate and quartzite. The vines are between 15 and 20 years of age. Vinification was entirely in stainless steel with four months’ maturation on lees.

Aromas of white tree fruit, fresh garden herbs, citrus and spring flowers with a racy, leesy palate full of rhubarb and preserved lemon.
