The Wine:
100% Pinot Noir from the village of Givry. 50+ year old vines, clay and limestone terroir, from parcels over 250m altitude. Fruit is de-stemmed and undergoes indigenous yeast fermentation. Aged in older Francois Freres barrels and is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Floral and forward with lovely notes of red berries and spice jumping out of the glass. Those red fruits dominate the palate too which is full and fleshy with crunchy tannin and an underlying mineral line leading to a fresh, vivacious finish.
