The Wine:
Picked early in the season, normally in mid‐late January, it is harvested with great acidity. The fruit is handpicked and basket pressed. The wine is then tank fermented, without oak.

It is extremely pale green/yellow, almost clear in colour. The aroma is of lifted lemongrass with some clean mineral characters. Fruit is dominant on the palate with a lean, light structure and driven acid finish.

This Semillon is the ideal balance of fruit and acidity. Truly an exciting Semillon that will reward early drinking or cellaring for years to come.

The Review:
Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion - 95pts
"Pale straw with a flash of gold and inviting aromas of lemon, lime, lemongrass, white flowers, clover blossom, lanolin and honeysuckle. There's a wonderful detail to both aroma and flavour. Tightly coiled and febrile on the palate with pure citrus fruits, light almond meal and lanolin tones and plenty of saline and flinty drive, finishing dry with a lemon sherbety swoosh! Great length of flavour and crisp, thirst-slaking enjoyment here."
