The Wine:
One of the most discreet crus of the prestigious Margaux appellation, which is worth a visit for its wines of great classicism. Created in 1754 by Jacques Boyd, whose family had emigrated to France from Scotland, the vineyard itself was created from the division of Château Cantenac Brown, which took place just after the 1855 classification. Château Boyd-Cantenac has belonged to the Guillemet family since 1932, today represented by Lucien Guillemet. The vineyard has 17 hectares of vines dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, on a superb gravelly terroir.

Aged in new oak barrels, the wines of Boyd-Cantenac display the characteristic style of Margaux: pure and delicate fruit tinged with spices, tight tannins, a lot of freshness and a great overall distinction. Their ageing capacity is very interesting.
