The Wine:
Aromas of currants, black mushrooms and rose petals follow through to a full body with chewy tannins and a long, persistent finish. This is very structured and powerful. Under the radar. Give it at least three years to soften. Try after 2024.
This structured and elegant Cru Bourgeois pairs beautifully with a variety of classic dishes. It is a superb companion for a very good piece of red meat, as well as roasted lamb, beef wellington, or a variety of mature cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C (61-64°F) after allowing it to breathe for at least two hours.
