The Wine:
Hand-picked fruit, aged in old French oak for 10 months, and bottled with no fining, filtration or additions apart from a small amount of Sulphur to keep the wine fresh. The Trott vineyard tends to have a darker fruit profile, with great power and structure. It is a Grenache that needs time to come together, to soften and show it’s true beauty. We hope that this in turn will help it to age for a long time, to hang tight to its freshness and vitality over many years.

The Review:
Gary Walsh, The Wine Front - 94pts
"Cherry, raspberry, almond, dried roses and thyme, with quite some spice and a little cedar. It’s medium-bodied, cherry and dried herb, a little blood orange in the mix, tannin is firm with a light graininess and grip, with a sappy freshness, and a dry pumice stone tannin finish of excellent length, some orange peel in the aftertaste. It has a good volume of fruit, yet its pretty savoury in style too, with an amaro twist. More to come, I expect."
