The Wine:
A blend of thirty-year-old vine Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon vines grown on the Coubeyrac plateau’s clay and limestone just ten miles from Saint Emilion, this is a lovely example of a modern-style claret. Today, this 11-hectare property is run by Audrey and Marion Geromin whose passion and attention to detail have made this one of Bordeaux’s affordable gems.

Bright cherry red in colour with violet hints around the rim. Aromas that have gentle hints of cinammon spice and warm vanilla. The palate has lovely depth of flavours - blackcurrant, black morello cherry with vanilla oak and spice. It's a structured wine with good length and gentle tannins. A lovely example of claret that's great for roast meats.
