The home to grapes from vineyards collected over the generations which Arturo and Kike don't believe are capable of producing world class wine. This tends to mean those sites along the edge of the Ebro River on flatter, alluvial soils. All farmed organically and picked relatively early, more looking at acidity than potential alcohol. It's fermented in stainless steel with full carbonic maceration with around 5% Viura included in the ferment.
"A wine to enjoy without having to think too much" is how Arturo de Miguel describes this carbonic maceration red from various parcels in Ábalos. It's certainly a wine to quaff with a smile on your face. Juicy wild strawberry and white pepper flavours burst out of the glass here." 90 points, Tim Atkin, MW
