"Arneis, like its Piedmontese compatriot nebbiolo, can be a right bastard in the vineyard, but if you put the work in it delivers wines with fragrance, texture and detail like this. Winemaker Col McBryde works with the Adelaide Hills vineyard of filmmakers and skilled grape growers Scott Hicks and Kerry Heysen-Hicks to deliver a wine rippling with green apple skin and lemon-drizzled raw fennel, some dried florals and herbs, with a gently nutty edge."
