The Wine:
The 2024 season started as one of hottest and driest with temperatures 10-15 degrees above average. The vines burst early and it looked like a good season to come. Then, on 16 and again on the 26 October, severe frosts hit, destroying our total crop. Fortunately, Tumbarumba missed the frost so we sourced fruit from there and Mudgee and Orange. A year to remember.
This popular style of Riesling is a good accompaniment to spicier Thai or Indian dishes as the slight sweetness in the wine balances the spice. Bright, light yellow colour, lime and lemon citrus aromas, hints of stone fruit and a dry finish. Cellaring for more than 2 years will reward you with sweeter lime cordial flavours
