The Wine:
From ten-year-old vines on the Valley floor in Coldstream. The vineyard is north-facing and features the BVR clone. The wine is 30% whole bunch and 70% de-stemmed, showcasing delicious red fruit flavours like raspberry, red cherry, and red plum, complemented by fine pencil shavings. It has great drive, concentration, and a long finish.
The Review:
Mike Bennie, The Wine Front - 94pts
"Very peppery, herbal whiffs over raspberry liquorice, cranberry, red plum and pomegranate juice. It quenches the thirst while staking a claim on savouriness, a turned earth thing in the midst, so too game meat lightly in there too. Peppery charm lingers. Maybe more pinosity than the 2024 pinot release, could be a comment! It’s wonderful."
