The Carta Blanca rum from Ron Santiago de Cuba is a molasses-based rum which is initially aged in oak casks and filtered before bottling, removing the colour but not the flavour (making it a good choice for cocktails).
Nose Clean and elegant with subtle leafy, grassy notes and tropical fruit.
Palate Quite light, with some cooking spice warmth to it. Still rather grassy and herbal.
Finish Sweet on the finish, with some warmth remaining.
