The Wine:
100% Tempranillo sourced from the Vallecilla, Camino de Laguardia and Finca San Martín vineyards at 600m altitude on limestone-rich soil. Fermented in tank, raised for 16 months in 60% new house-coopered American oak barrels and 40% French oak barrels. Manually racked three times during elevage.
Bright crimson color with medium intensity and ruby rim. The nose is fresh with vibrant fruit aromas and hints of wild strawberries, raspberries and cranberries. These red fruit notes are followed by spicy aromas of vanilla, caramel, cedar and licorice. Balanced on the palate with a lively attack and a smooth and balanced mid-palate. The finish is long with a fruity expression and balsamic notes.
