The Wine: From a dry-grown vineyard planted in 1981, William Downie co-farms the plot with fellow Pinot-head Patrick Sullivan. The site is exquisite, and very low yielding - making for concentrated and structured Pinot Noir that is set up for the long haul. A deeply complex wine with aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, plum pudding and wood spice. The palate is rich and very finely structured.
