The Wine:
"Fiori Rossi is a Rosso di Montepulciano obtained from 100% Sangiovese grapes from selected clones. It represents the synthesis between a new modern vision and an ever-deeper awareness of our territory. This wine was born as a modern exploration of the aromas and the freshness of our Sangiovese and aimed at best expressing the vitality, represented by the flowers, among the rows of our now completely organic vines." - Poliziano
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel truncated-cone tanks (25–28°C), with punch-downs and délestage techniques integrated with pump-overs. Fermentation and maceration lasts 7–10 days. Micro-oxygenation occurs between the end of alcoholic fermentation and the start of malolactic fermentation, which is carried out in 30 hL wooden vats.
Bright and aromatic, this leaps out of the glass with very fine and elegant aromas of red cherry, violets and woodsy herbs. Fine boned and almost ethereally silky on the palate, this is a gorgeous expression of Sangiovese with a lighter touch.
