The Wine:
The Castello Monsanto Toscana Rosso 2020 is a pure and expressive version of Sangiovese from one of Chianti Classico's best estates. This wine is a blend of Chianti vineyards owned by Monsanto that are situated around the winery. 100% Sangiovese and a touch more lifted than the standard Chianti Classico. From the exceptional 2020 vintage in Tuscany.
The wine was fermented in stainless steel with regular delestage and pump overs for 15 days, then aged for 12 months in large 38hL oak foudres. A crisp, red fruited and juicy varietal Sangiovese, showing generosity and fine structure. This will age beautifully!
