The Wine:
Fruit sourced from a single vineyard in Echunga in the Adelaide Hills. Hand-picked and lightly pressed straight to barrel sans sulphur, the juice was allowed to ferment naturally in French oak barrels (about 25% new) for ten months.
Lightly flinty, with incredible clarity and complexity on the nose. Lots of grapefruit, wet stones and crunchy nectarine. The palate is concentrated but light on its feet with crystalline acids and minerality shimmering through the beautifully weighted citrus and stonefruit flavours. A bit of toast and hay from the new oak, before finishing long on the palate.
