The Wine:
Vincent Mercier purchased Chateau Tertre de Samonac in 2005. This delightful wine made from 100% Merlot grapes that grow on 25-30-year-old vines, offers a deep and rich concentration of fruit with well-balanced acidity and tannins which will soften as the wine breathes. On the nose, it has a delightful aroma of dark cherries and plums, with accented spices, gravel, and tobacco that develop in the glass.
