The Wine:
A rather atypical year, starting with warmer and relatively drier winter with no snow after many years, and followed by cool, rainy, and cloudy weather in spring and in June. As a result, budbreak and flowering were delayed by 10-12 days than usual. After a hot and dry July, conditions went back to the standard of the area, contributing to a full ripening of Assyrtiko.
Rigorous selection on conveyor belt. Skin contact. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine stays in contact with fine lees for a period of 4-5 months.
Vibrant yellow lemon color. On the nose, apple-fresh and citrusy aromas with white blossom notes. The mouth is crisp and zesty with delicate mineral notes in the background. Pleasant lingering finish. Extremely versatile in food and wine pairings and a perfect choice for wine by the glass.
