We’re honoured to be welcoming Giovanni Angeli from Massolino back to Sydney to celebrate the release of the 2022 vintage Baroli. As you may know, these wines are celebrated internationally for their purity, elegance and ability to age gracefully, and Massolino are considered one of the apex producers in Barolo.
As winemaker for Massolino, Giovanni is a wealth of knowledge within Piemonte, and is one of the driving forces behind the rise of the modern Barolo style that favours vibrancy and fruit purity whilst nurturing the unique vineyard characters that emerge in each wine.
Through the course of the evening you’ll enjoy 11 magnificent wines from the humble Dolcetto to the mighty Barolo Parussi, each shining a light on fruit, site and soil.
We’ll be joining our good friends over at Claret Club, who will be providing a special 5 course Piemonte inspired menu for the evening (think Bagna Cauda, Chestnut Risotto, and Barolo braised beef).
It’s set to be an evening to remember, and we hope you’ll be able to join us in welcoming Giovanni and his beautiful wines to Sydney.
