Region: Yarra Valley Grapes: Sangiovese First Glance: Cherry, Earth, Savoury, Fine Tannin Acclaim: 94pts
The Wine: 100% whole bunch fermentation. Ripe cherry fruit on the palate, fine tannin and a savoury finish.
The Review: Mike Bennie, The Wine Front - 94pts "Shows scents of charcuterie, black olive, plum, black pepper. Surprisingly juicy in the palate yet also a swish of chalky tannin giving shape and a powderiness to finish. A sweetness, maybe richness let’s say, of forest berry fruits to taste but the lingering flavours are minerally, earthy and truffle-umami laced. Delightful. Almost a bold pinosity here – yet with tannin structure on song. Good gear."
