The Wine: The names refers to the rod and spur method of pruning, blend of Shiraz Cabernet this year. The classic Aussie blend. This wine is a real chameleon. The blend is sometimes dominated by Shiraz, other times by Cabernet. The Shiraz component giving spice and soft tannins and the Cabernet tightening up the palate and adding a lifted chocolate mint character.
