Located amongst the Northern Valleys near the Yass River it's a perfect site for Murrumbateman Shiraz. It is the first year this wine gets to stand alone as a Single Vineyard wine.
Classic Murrumbateman clay loams over granite, but with a few shale deposits. Two Shiraz clones, both harvested and fermented together with 40% whole bunches incorporated in fermentation. The wine is defined by its firm structure and perfume.
It's full of opulent mulberries, violets and thyme twig spice with a concentrated, seductive drive.
