The Wine:
Sourced from two different vineyards in 2024 - the Lacey Branson Road block in Tatachilla and the Lacey HQ block on Olivers Road. The south facing Branson Road block is closer to the sea and more exposed to coastal breezes, helping to keep peak temperatures down. Fiano growing here in grey-brown loam over limestone has very high natural acidity and thick skins leading to a textural element in the wine. The north facing Olivers Road block on red-brown loam over ironstone is somewhat warmer lending texture and generosity to the wine while still maintaining Fiano’s characteristic high acidity.
