The Wine: Opening a bit more nutty than the Bernkasteler, with almonds and frangipani florals above orange and apple fruit. The palate is bracing and gleams with crystalline purity. The slight residual sugar shimmers alongside piercing acidity, bringing drive and elongating the full and plump palate into a very long, heady finish.
The Review: Jean Fisch and David Rayer, Mosel Fine Wines - 93pts “The 2021er Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett proves superbly elegant and refined of white flowers, laurel, thyme, fresh almond, cassis, lime tree, and fine spices. The wine proves airy and beautifully light-footed on the palate and leaves a beautiful mouth-watering long and pure finish. The after-taste is already light off-dry in taste. This great clean and vibrating Kabinett is really remarkable. 2026-2041”
