The Wine:
Grenache Blanc, the variety in question here, is making some good headway in South Australia. A native to France’s Rhone Valley, this white grape does exceedingly well in warm climates so is a great fit for the Riverland.
The flavour profile sits in the pear/apple sort of spectrum with lovely texture and a lick of salinity which keeps you coming back to the glass. If you’ve never tried this variety before, this is the perfect place to start.
