Multiple sections of the vineyard were picked on the 2nd of April, with each vineyard section remaining in separate ferments running concurrently in open fermenters with a variance of 15% and 45% whole bunches. Elevage for 14 months in both French oak hogshead and barrique, 30% of which was new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Cool climate stamped all over this wine. Fine perfume and lift with a dark, rich core of riper fruit smattered on graphite and iron ore with amazing acidity. Beautiful balance and again, so much flavour packed into these wines. It's very rare to be able to so clearly see where a wine is headed with age. Drink now with a generous decant or stash away for up to 7 years!
