The Wine: The base wines are predominately French oak matured Shiraz from McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. Rounding out the blend are small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon of up to five years of age. The inclusion of older base wines were to provide complexity and depth to the palate and aroma.
Deep crimson red in colour with an enthusiastic mousse. Lifted aromas of subtle raspberry and plum cake backed by subtle spices. Rich and with a velvety textured palate of forest fruit flavours interwoven with dark earth, cardamom and a hint of toast. The long length of persistence is supported by soft acidity, a hint of sweetness and supple tannins. Drink now to 2030.
