Style: Tintito is designed to be a savoury yet fruit-driven mediterranean style red. High drinkability and juicyness being the key factors we look for, with Grenache bringing tons of spice and red fruit, Touriga adding tannin, density and another layer of complexity. Tinta Cao provides a different spectrum of earthy and gravelly aromatics as well as a good backbone of dusty tannin,grip and structure. The Carignan and Cinsaut added brightness and staulky herbal complexity as they were fermented with 50% wholebunch.
Vintage 2020 was a warm vintage, and yields were down across SouthAustralia due to some freak wind events, and a heat wave inJanuary. This ensured a quite compressed vintage, with most fruit coming in a 4 week period across march.
