The Wine:
Red Delicious apple. Earl Grey tea. Purple wine gums. An ethereal wine with intrigue and intent. Aromatic fruit on the front palate; the tannins elevate and drive the wine. A Nebbiolo with incredible focus and finesse. Drinking well now but will reward cellaring.

"This is so pretty! The 2021 Nebbiolo from Beechworth leads with rose petals and dried flowers, asphalt and ozone, dried rosemary and a hint of tobacco, graphite and black tea, black cherry and brine. On the palate, the wine is sensational; it offers us everything from the bouquet but framed in fine, willowy tannins that grip and are chalky across the palate. If it had a sound, it would be the scratching sound of ice skates on ice. It's firm, precise, tight, floral, mineral and almost febrile and ethereal. This is an exciting wine here. It's ashy, almost. Super."
