The Wine

This guy is here for a very good time. Throw it in the esky or fridge for fifteen or twenty minutes before getting stuck in. It smells and tastes like a liquid Cherry Ripe, we’re not even kidding. Low in preservative and tempered in alcohol, this cheery King Valley Barbera is made for immediate enjoyment.

The Review

"King Valley fruit source, this is barbera from La Cantina, styled around a chilled, fresh, lighter red wine style. No barbera on the label, per se, as it was considered ‘non varietal’, but tasted out of the barrel at cellar temperature one half of VS&B managed to get it across the line as a single bottling. Hollenspass means, kinda, ‘hella fun!’. Right on! Hang the detail, just get stuck into this.

Crisp, refreshing, delicious. Tart and refreshing red cherry, cranberry tang, pomegranate juice and a light sprinkle of black pepper and green herbs. Wildly, wildly delicious with ballistic drinkability, this is a belter, and, yet, has some class, fine detail, tension and length. Super wine."
