"From the Marmont vineyard in Blewitt Springs. Shame it’s not called Chateau Marmont. “Cold soaked for 5 days in 131yr
old 6T concrete open, plunged only, 25 days on skins. Matured for 9 months in 15yr old puncheons.”180 cases made.
Oh that old humbug, but it does come across quite like a deeper Pinot Noir. It’s black raspberry, exotic spice and perfume, medium-bodied, kind of autumnal and earthy, cranberry acidity, plenty of firm graphite sort of tannin, and a lively finish of fine length, punctuated by spice, boysenberry and potpourri. Muscular, but in a good way. Top shelf"
