"From Bowyer Ridge vineyard, which is planted to Bernard clones. 110 cases made. I’d imagine Skye, who I’ve not met, made this wine, because I’ve only ever seen Charlie Seppelt drink Chardonnay, not actually make it. I could be wrong.
No shortage of flavour here, which is a good thing. It’s all white nectarine and almond meal, seasoned with cinnamon, and a very modest amount of struck match and fennel. It’s cool and glossy, pleasing viscosity, apple pie, lime and hazelnut, pulls a little chalky and finishes long and smooth, two fruits and biscuit oak in the aftertaste. Kind of Hills v sexy Burgundy style, if you like. And I really like this wine."
