Named after my Grandma, Melva is a wild fermented Riesling inspired by exotic off-dry wine styles of the world. With aromatic floral spice of blossom and quince, the palate is slippery and luscious.
Created from the Peglidis vineyard, the handpicked fruit is handled oxidatively in the winery and is fermented 100% with indigenous yeast in twenty-year-old French oak barriques. While left to sit on lees in the oak for 4 months the wine is stirred regularly and the truly succulent profile develops.
Sealed with a screwcap to ensure the integrity of the product, you can be confident that this wine will continue to reward you with careful cellaring.
