It’s a nice drink. It ticks boxes for flavours and scents of apple juice, light vanilla notes, touch of frangipani/jasmine florals and some wet-warm slate notes. It’s light and fresh-feeling, crisp though also a little creamy upfront. Flavours are simple, though lively and clean for ease of drinking. It’s a very nice drink and worth checking out/buying off a list/adding to your PC Chablis roster.
About Durup :
As far back as you can go in time (actually until the 17th century), there has been a Durup winegrower in Maligny ( 8 km north of Chablis).
With about 200 hectares of vineyards (of which more than 35 hectares are the most prestigious Premiers Crus) as own properties, the family Durup is today the independent top producer in Chablis as well as in the whole Burgundy.
The Durups are the leading producer in the following appellations : Petit Chablis AOP, Chablis AOP and different Chablis Premiers Crus as for instance Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume, Chablis Premier Cru L'Homme Mort, Chablis Premier Cru Vau de Vey, Chablis Premier Cru Montée de Tonnerre and Chablis Premier Cru Montmain.
Located in the very heart of the Chablis appellation, the Durup family vineyards contain a high concentration of steep, well-exposed hillsides of rocky soil, terrain that guarantees the exceptional quality of the wine.
The most important concern of the domain is and has always been to reach the best possible quality.
