Cab franc from a certified organic site, planted 2000.
Right on medium weight, silken tannins, herbal notes, white pepper, salumi, sour raspberries and a bit of fennel. Right on. Puckers the palate nicely, very taut tannin profile, just ripe strawberry and blackberry fruit characters and some positive influence of bay leaf and sage-like herbs. It’s a wine that feels pent up but fresh, light on its feet but with plenty of things going on. It’s great.
