The 2019 is based on the smooth and aromatic Shiraz clones PT23 and 1654 with a little of the robust and rich Yalumba and R6WV28. The Col Mountain wines are from deep red soil with a significant amount of shattered rock. The 2019 is entering a beautiful phase for medium weight shiraz. It has lovely fragrance with sweet plum mixing with brown spice and graphite savouriness. The palate is supple and velvety with mid weight richness.
