With a history stretching back to 1090, the Dievole estate has long been producing Chianti from their current 126 hectares of vines. After recent modernisations beginning in 2012 and a change in philosophy at the estate, the wines have never looked better. Dievole received organic certification in 2017.

The Riserva is made from a selection of fruit from the best vineyards of the estate, with sites ranging from 300 -420 masl on limestone and calcareous marl. The wine ferments gently in cement eggs and rests for 17 months in large format, untoasted French oak, to preserve the purity of the fruit.

A blend of 95% Sangiovese, 3% Canaiolo and 2% Colorino, this opens with aromas of black-skinned berry, leather and tobacco. Made with organically farmed grapes, the wine features a savory, polished palate offering dried black cherry, star anise and white pepper alongside fine-grained tannins
