Region: Itata Valley, Chile Grapes: Carignan First Glance: Red Fruits, Smokey, Juicy, Chillable
The Wine: A juicy gulgable style from some beautiful old-vine Carignan in the Itata Valley. Hand picked, with half the grapes going through carbonic maceration to really highlight the confected notes, and the other half made into a light, pipeno-style before being blended back together. The wine rests for about 7 months in neutral oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with a small addition of sulfur.
Lush red plum and berried, cinnamon, peppercorn and campfire aromas with juicy texture and refreshing finish.
