Region: Adelaide Hills
Grapes: Nero d'Avola
First Glance: Fresh, Cola, Dark Red Fruit

The Wine:
Destemmed and fermented on skins for only 6 days. Then pressed to a few year old foudre, where it matured for 12 months.

The aromas leap out of the glass – rather fragrant. Dark raspberries, redcurrant, cola, rose petal, cherries, blueberries with touch of choc lamingtons and earthy notes in the background. Dark raspberry, choc cake batter, dried cranberries, cherry pit, with plum skin tannins and dusty cinnamon spice. The wine has a lively pace of fresh acid running right through it with fresher and darker fruit flavours throughout. The wine has a higher alcohol than it drinks –due to the small seedless berries.
